Tanya Eldert purchased Sugar Bomb Desserts & Ice Cream in early 2026, bringing with her years of experience running online businesses. From the start, she set out to modernize the little shop, updating its look and adding tools to make her flavors more accessible, both in the shop and online.
One of the first challenges she ran into was a familiar one: customers wanted to know what was in their ice cream like the nutritional info, allergens, and ingredients. the kind of questions that can be hard to answer with lines of people or having to flip through a printed binder behind the counter to find the right ice cream flavor. It was time consuming and outdated.
So she built a better way. By creating individual flavor pages on her website, each with nutritional values, ingredients, and allergen details she solved the information problem entirely. Customers could scan the labels on the freezers for each flavor and know instantly what was in the ice cream. As a bonus, anyone checking the site from home could see exactly which flavors were currently in stock.

It didn't take long to realize the solution was something other shops could use too. After numerous visits from other shop owners and reps who couldn't stop asking about the system, it became clear this was more than just a fix for one shop.

Not at all. With the Scoops POP Program, you never need to touch the tech side at all for the flavors and labels, just submit a simple form and we handle everything from building your flavor pages to getting your labels to Walgreens. Your job is running your shop. The CRM and social media posting software is there if you choose to use it, but you don't have to, or your admin team can help you for a low hourly rate.
If you're on the Self-Serve Plan, we give you a simple login, and short video tutorials that walk you through managing your own updates at your own pace. We also provide the site and Canva templates and step-by-step instructions so you can handle labels yourself. And if you ever get stuck or just want to hand something off, our admin team is available by the hour, no retainer or long-term commitment required.
Just submit the form with the new flavor and supplier and we build the page and send your new QR label to your nearest Walgreens within one business day. Removing a flavor? Just let us know and we will update your main flavor menu as well. Our team will handle this for part of the program's monthly fee.
If you have the Self Serve Plan, you login and follow the step-by-step tutorials to add a new flavor page yourself. We will provide you with the webpage & Canva templates along with instructions on how to go through the process. Prefer to hand it off? We're happy to handle it for you at our standard hourly rate and bill you monthly.

Absolutely. Any business with a rotating display of products that customers want to know more about is a great fit, like gelato shops, bakeries, donut shops, cheese counters, specialty food stores, and more. If your customers stand in front of a case and ask questions, Scoops POP was built for you. In some cases, if we can not access a distributor's website or graphics, you may need to provide us with graphics for your product pages.
